Yeah I was going to post that yesterday but I can't help but feel there's another reason for this... like poor up-take on the Console.
As much as I'd like to believe it's true that PC gamers outnumber console... I find it hard to believe.
If it were true, I'd be absolutely thrilled... and if the numbers for BC2 are higher (hopfully vastly) than MW2 I'd be very happy.
Edit: In fact... check out x-fires top games.
They are high, very high.

CoD2, a five year old game, is outclassing MW2 on that list. :P

Update: It was a denial of service attack
http://kotaku.com/5488372/denial-of-...ed-ii-playtime
Not technically UBI's fault, but just a demonstration of what it means when their servers go down.

It is Ubisofts fault regardless of who attacked them.
If they put up a system like this they need to ensure litterally 100% uptime, no questions asked... regardless of what happens. Even if the entire building with the server in explodes there should be backups if they're going to put in place this kinda system.
Edit: LOL The first comment "So you counter DDOS attacks with a Denial of Facts attack! Excellent!"

I'd appriciate that, Et. As you probably know by my mile long thread I'm very keen for OnLive to be a succeess... although I, along with everyone else, expect it to be a complete failure.
Anyway... in other news;
http://kotaku.com/5491675/why-call-o...ticking-around
Apparently Infinity Ward employees got paid very low wages and made up a lot of their dosh from getting paid massive royalties from games which do well... well Activision have been withholding payment of their royalties in order to prevent the inevitable mass exodus following the firing of the two CEOs...
Activision really are a fucking joke of a publisher.

I'm all for rewarding good performance if it provides an incentive to make games of a high quality.
But you have to actually pay people what you promised and when you promised.

Yep...
If I ever had a choice I'd run my company exactly the same way.
Moderate wage but a huge incentive to have pride and quality in their work and to get highly rewarded for it... the ammount of effort that goes into making any game deserves a reward bigger than just a name in the credits in my opinion.
