1904 AU Five cent silver. Mid-year 1903 saw the production of Canadian five cent coins returned from the Birmingham Mint Ltd. to London’s Royal Mint. A new reverse Matrix was designed, one which carried a wreath of 22 maple leaves, and a smaller Imperial Crown which supported a Maltesse Cross as the finial. The new matrix was fully dated.
