This is an authentic porcelain soup bowl of Nazi Germany. This piece is from a WW2 era Luftwaffe (German Air Force) mess hall. Condition: Made of high quality porcelain; produced with durability & design to withstand regular use. Maintains mostly its original polish throughout but does have wear marks & a visible chip around the rim (see photo - factored into the pricing); standard age wear should be expected. Markings: - Maker Marked “Bohemia”, the porcelain manufacturer (Bohemia porcelain factory) located in Chodov (Neurohlau), which was in the occupied Sudetenland territory (Czechoslovakia or Czech Republic today). The logo features a stylized lion inside an oval frame with lines rising out of it. - Sharply depicts the early Luftwaffe droop-tail eagle clutching a 1/4 turned swastika in its talons. - Clearly dated 1939, the year of production which coincides with the outbreak of WW2. - Marked 'Fl. U.V.‘ for Flieger-Unterkunfts-Verwaltung (Pilot Accommodation Administration).
